As you are all well aware, Melbourne is in the mids of the “second wave”. Throughout this pandemic Peter Lennox Automotive has been pro-active in the fight and prevention of COVID-19, following all DHHS health guidelines.
On 19 July 2020 the DHHS announced that from 11:59 pm on Wednesday 22 July 2020, the wearing of face coverings (masks) would be mandatory within the Melbourne Metropolitan region and Mitchell Shire.
Here is the statement:
People living in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire and will now be required to wear a face-covering when leaving home for one of the four reasons, following a concerning increase in coronavirus cases in recent days.
Based on the latest advice from the Chief Health Officer, we’re urging Victorians: just as you remember to take your keys when you leave the house, you need to remember to take something to cover your face – to help keep you and our community safe.
To give people time to purchase or make a face covering, this new rule won’t be enforced until after 11.59 pm on Wednesday 22 July – but for those who can, please start wearing yours immediately. The fine for not wearing a face-covering will be $200.
We take this situation very seriously and will follow the DHHS guidelines.
From Thursday 23 July 2020 we require that all our customers, delivery drivers, suppliers and staff wear a face mask.
NO FACE MASK… NO ENTRY!
Face masks are required by law to be worn when on our premises, including the car park.
